Shooting sports are alive and well at the Hiawatha Sportsman’s Club. Whether you desire to shoot trap, sight in a firearm, or practice your archery skills, there are several venues to meet your needs.

Trap Shooting

The Hiawatha Sportsman’s Club Trap Range is open to the public. We invite you to join us for one of our scheduled shooting events. The Trap Range is located just north of our museum and west of the Golf Pro Shop off G Trail, north of our main club gate at US Highway 2 just west of Naubinway, Michigan.
Shooting events start the last week of May and continue through September.

Trap Range open hours:

Saturdays 10:00 am to 12:00 pm | Wednesdays 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

The Club also hosts an Annual Turkey and Championship Shoot the second Saturday of July at 10:00 am.
The trap range may be opened to members by appointment for special occasions and family or special events. Individual lessons are available to members by appointment. There is no charge for lessons except the cost of targets and shells.

Firearms Range

Our combination hand gun and long gun range is self-monitored with covered shooting benches and allows members to enjoy a day practicing with a modern firearm or perhaps a nostalgic outing with a fine family heirloom.

Our three sided building overlooks the open area with 3 target stands at 25, 50 and 100 yards. There is also a 150 yard target and shooting bench outside of the pavilion viewing angle. The Range is located on N Trail, approximately ½ mile off of Millecoquin Lake Drive.

You must be a member and need a key to enter the N trail gate.

Archery

The Hiawatha Sportsman’s Club has three Archery Ranges. A member’s only range is located behind our Activities Building on Millecoquin Lake Drive. This range has multiple targets and shooting stations of 10, 20, 30 and 40 yards distances.

Our second Archery Range is located inside the Trap Range area and has two targets with shooting stations of 10, 20 and 30 yards.

The third, offering an array of 3D targets, is located near our public Golf Course just inside our main gate north of US Highway 2. This range offers one mile of 35 shooting stations with different animals and various shooting distances which simulates an actual hunting environment.

Our 3D range is supported by member and guest volunteers and can be available to the public.
